I like Moyn, however I do not necessarily agree that we should refrain from calling this a constitutional crisis. Our political system my be robust enough to survive the attack it is under, however, it continues to perpetrate a genocide, massive inequality, polarization, unregulated capitalism, and the collapse of our climatic systems.
Whenever a government becomes an existential threat to society it is a crisis. Just because the political system has always been inadequate or undemocratic, does not mean the current problems are not uniquely alarming. This is a break the glass moment. Moyn should just say so.
