I love that you are thinking about this. The conversation is going to gather a lot of steam under the Trump administration. Most people I talk to already believe we need more democratic constitution.
I like, "Minority rule is now an existential threat. We need a constitution that establishes majority rule in America."
or "A government of, by, and for the people must represent the majority of Americans, not only the minority of the opulent."
What about "We Decide" or "We Choose"? These are both short, get to the point, and imply fairly easily the truth: which is that we're not really choosing now which can then be followed up upon with greater detail.
What should a movement to achieve a real democracy in the United States be called?
The Full Democracy Movement.
Full Democracies have valid systems of governmental checks and balances, legislatures that have fair and accurate representation, independent judiciaries whose decisions are enforced, governments that function well, high levels of political engagement and pluralism, institutionalized and enforced civil liberties, little corruption, high levels of trust, equal rights for all citizens, diverse and independent media, and few problems in democratic functioning. Well governed countries have achieved all six characteristics of Good Governance: Transparency, Accountability, Rule of Law, Consensus Decision Making, Efficacious Fiscal Performance, DEI and Participation.
