Luke talks with Louis Michael Seidman, the author of several books and articles on constitutional skepticism and disobedience, including On Constitutional Disobedience (2012), “The Secret History of American Constitutional Skepticism: A Recovery and Preliminary Evaluation” (2014), and From Parchment to Dust: The Case for Constitutional Skepticism (2021). Mike is also the co-host of the podcast Supreme Betrayal.

Mike covers several topics, including the significance of grounding our social and political values in something other than the existing Constitution, the advantages and disadvantages of a written constitution, and the importance of “demystifying the institution that thinks of itself as embodying constitutional law — the Supreme Court of the United States.”
